Above all – the Karkonosze Mountains. It is this mountain range that has stolen our hearts and inspired us to fulfill our dream of owning a wooden cottage. The Karkonosze is the highest and largest range of the Sudetes, stretching along the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. Here, you will find breathtaking views, picturesque trails, and unique nature. The highest peak is Śnieżka (1603 m above sea level).

1. Chojnik Castle – a medieval stronghold on top of the Karkonosze Mountains.

Just a few steps from our cottage, a trail begins that will take you to Chojnik Castle – a picturesque 14th-century stronghold perched on top of a steep hill.

It is an ideal route for a hike, during which you will discover the castle's secrets and learn the legend of Princess Kunegunda. Once you reach the summit, breathtaking views of the surrounding area await you – a reward for every step you take.

2. The Podgórna Waterfall is one of the larger and more unique places in the Karkonosze Mountains, where you can refresh yourself in a natural pool. It is the third-largest waterfall in these mountains. Regardless of the season, the water here is always refreshing. On hot days, it offers an ideal shelter from the summer sun, while in winter, it attracts adventurers to explore the waterfall in unusual conditions.

A walk to the Podgórna Waterfall from the Chata Czego Dusza Pragnie is not demanding and is practically a must-do. During your visit, be sure to also see the charming Myi Cascade, which is an integral part of this magical place.
