In nearby Harrachov, one of the largest ski resorts on the Czech side of the Krkonoš Mountains operates. The slopes are equipped with a snowmaking system, allowing skiing for five months. There are three complexes: Devil's Mountain (Čertova Hora), Zakouti, and Amalka.
2. Karpacz Ski Arena - distance 15 km, travel time 25 min.
The second largest ski resort on the Polish side of the Karkonosze Mountains is located in Karpacz. In the town and surrounding area, we can take advantage of several drag lifts; however, the largest complex is situated within the Karkonosze National Park – on Kopia.
The climatic conditions in this part of the Krkonoš Mountains somewhat resemble those in the Alps. When winter is sufficiently cold, snow remains on the slopes even in early spring. Due to the low sunlight on the northern slopes, skiing is still possible in April.
